Belfast and surrounding areas Salary: £38,000 - £45,000 per annum (dependent on experience) Position:
Full-time, Permanent About the Role On behalf of our client, a premier electronic safety and security provider, we are seeking an experienced and dedicated Fire & Security Engineer to join their expanding technical team in Belfast. This role involves managing the installation, planned maintenance, servicing, and reactive fault-finding of diverse fire protection and electronic security systems across commercial, industrial, and high-end residential sites.
Key Responsibilities Carry out the installation, commissioning, routine servicing, and emergency maintenance of fire alarms, intruder alarms, CCTV networks, and integrated access control systems. Troubleshoot complex technical faults efficiently to provide high-quality, long-term solutions. Complete all site documentation, digital compliance logs, and asset lists accurately to ensure industry standards are met. Participate in the company's emergency standby/on-call rota to provide reliable out-of-hours coverage.
Provide professional, client-facing customer service, explaining technical resolutions clearly and delivering system user training to on-site representatives. Ensure all works adhere strictly to current regulatory standards (including BS 5839 and BS 4737) and active health and safety guidelines. Experience and Requirements Proven, field-based track record as a Fire & Security Engineer (ideally 3 years of experience). Comprehensive, multi-skilled technical knowledge across both fire alarm panels and electronic security infrastructure.
Relevant industry certifications (such as FIA units, 18th Edition, or manufacturer-specific training awards) are highly advantageous. Exceptional diagnostic, fault-finding, and mechanical problem-solving capabilities. A valid, clean UK driving licence is mandatory for this field-based position. Excellent interpersonal communication skills with a professional demeanour suitable for client interaction.
