The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing issues, conducting repairs, and performing routine maintenance on a variety of vehicles.
Job Role:
Conduct comprehensive maintenance and repairs on a diverse range of machinery and equipment. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues in the equipment. Uphold the highest standards of safety and maintenance in all tasks and operations. Collaborate with the team to contribute to the overall success and efficiency of our company. Maintain accurate and detailed records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and service history.
Utilise strong mechanical skills to ensure precision and reliability in all aspects of the job. Demonstrate a keen attention to detail in maintaining the quality and performance of equipment. Work seamlessly as part of a team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. Required Education, Skills, and Qualifications for mechanic:
City & Guilds Level 3, BTEC, or NVQ in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics, Maintenance & Repair (or an equivalent qualification), or demonstrable equivalent experience in HGV maintenance and repair. Proven experience in the repair and maintenance of HGV trucks and trailers. Practical knowledge of modern diagnostic equipment/techniques. Computer literate. Full, valid driving license (HGV license preferable but not essential). Ability to work in a busy, high-pressure environment.
High level of enthusiasm, self-motivation, and a can-do attitude. Good all-round mechanical skills. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail. Knowledge of electrics, electronics, and hydraulics is an advantage. Benefits:
