Electrician | Belfast & Northern Ireland | Full Time | Monday to Friday, 8:00 am 5:00 pm | PAYE or Subcontract | £38,000 - £42,000 per annum (DOE) Founded in 2008, our client has grown into a trusted national provider of electrical compliance and project delivery services. The Role As an Electrician, you will be responsible for carrying out electrical installations, rewires, repairs, board changes, and EICR testing within customer properties. You will ensure all work is completed in line with BS7671 requirements while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities Survey sites where electrical systems are installed Carry out periodic inspections of clients' electrical installations in accordance with the current edition of BS7671 Produce Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICR) via Easy Cert (or other software) to meet the requirements and quality standards of clients and external accrediting bodies (e.g. NICEIC) Perform electrical tests and inspections and produce the appropriate documentation in accordance with the current edition of BS7671 Identify electrical problems and carry out remedial works as part of inspections where appropriate Carry out rewires, board changes, installations, general repair work and produce EICR certificates as required Adhere to company Health & Safety policies and procedures at all times Keep up to date with changes and amendments to standards, regulations and best practices within the electrical industry Attend toolbox meetings as required Maintain acceptable stock levels Support, coach and train apprentices as required Work with the Operations, Technical, Project and Contract teams to deliver contracts within set timescales Achieve personal and team KPIs, ensuring completed jobs meet business and client expectations Promote all aspects of Health & Safety to ensure compliance with legislation and company procedures Continually seek opportunities to enhance client relationships and service provision What Were Looking for Fully qualified Electrician Level 3 Testing & Inspection qualification (2391 or equivalent) Level 3 Electrical Installation qualification (2330 or equivalent) 18th Edition qualification Valid ECS Card Asbestos Awareness training completed within the last six months Minimum of one year's experience within social housing, carrying out installations, repairs, inspection and testing, and emergency lighting work Strong knowledge of the Electricity at Work Regulations and the current edition of BS7671 Good understanding of electrical inspection, testing, verification, certification, and reporting procedures Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and tablet-based software Excellent written and verbal communication skills Good understanding of Health & Safety legislation Full UK driving licence Own tools (tester can be supplied for PAYE employees if required) Desirable Previous experience working within a social housing environment Experience carrying out installations, repairs, inspection and testing, and emergency lighting testing and installation Experience using Easy Cert software for EICRs Whats In It For You £38,000 - £42,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications Full-time, Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week Position available on a PAYE or Subcontract basis Fully field-based role covering Northern Ireland Company vehicle provided (vehicles currently on order) Vehicle allowance available until company vehicle is available Mileage paid at 30p per mile if using your own vehicle Vehicle allowance of £3,500 per year pro rata 22 days holiday Company pension Employee Assistance Programme Progression opportunities Referral scheme Parking covered Tools can be provided where required Tester supplied for PAYE employees if required Asbestos Awareness training provided before starting via online onboarding Working at Heights and Manual Handling training provided Candidates with recently expired ECS cards or Asbestos Awareness certificates will be considered and supported with renewal Whats next?
