Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Field/Service Technician

We are looking for a practical, reliable and customer-focused Vending Machine Engineer to join our vending division based in Belfast. This field-based role is ideal for someone who enjoys fault-finding, working independently and making sure customers’ equipment operates safely and reliably.
Working Pattern- 37.5 Hours per week
- Standard hours between 07:30 - 15:30
- Occasional additional or out-of-hours work where required

- Install, commission, service and repair vending machines, coffee machines and associated equipment at customer sites.
- Diagnose electrical, mechanical and electronic faults and complete effective repairs.
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance to reduce breakdowns and equipment downtime.
- Respond promptly to service calls and work in line with agreed service standards.
- Test equipment after repairs to ensure it is safe and fully operational.
- Complete accurate service reports and maintain records of work, parts used and follow-up actions.
- Manage tools and spare-parts stock within the company vehicle.
- Provide professional on-site support and build positive relationships with customers.
- Follow all health and safety procedures and company policies.
- Experience in a field service, maintenance or repair role.
- Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.
- A practical, hands‑on approach and the ability to use tools and test equipment safely.
- Ability to understand technical information, wiring diagrams and equipment manuals.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to organise your workload and work independently.
- Basic IT skills for completing digital job reports.
- A full UK driving licence.
- Previous experience with vending, coffee, catering, refrigeration, white-goods or similar electro-mechanical equipment.
- Experience installing payment systems, including coin mechanisms and card readers.
- A relevant electrical, mechanical or engineering qualification.
