We are currently recruiting a  Senior Business Development Officer  for one of our clients, an international law firm located in  the center of Brussels.

Support the growth of practices by contributing to the planning, development, and execution of Business Development (BD) initiatives, with a focus on global and cross-office collaboration.
Work closely with global BD teams to ensure alignment between the practices and the several European offices, maintaining strong connections to the firm's international strategy and network.
Partner with a BD Manager to act as a key BD contact for partners and fee earners in several European countries, providing day-to-day local support while ensuring consistency with global campaigns and initiatives.
Help align practice and client targeting strategies with global BD growth objectives and overall firm strategy.
Collaborate across the wider Business Development & Marketing (BDM) function, including Clients & Sectors teams, to drive growth in priority sectors and develop impactful, practice-led go-to-market campaigns.
Support the implementation of focused practice, sector, and client growth plans, facilitating cross-selling opportunities across global product teams.
Contribute to win strategies and assist in preparing high-quality pitch and panel submissions.
Use data-driven insights to support horizon scanning, opportunity identification, pipeline management, and targeted client development across global and local markets.
Analyse market intelligence and monitor external trends to inform and shape BD priorities and initiatives.
Promote effective use of marketing technology and data systems to deliver proactive and targeted practice insights.
Ensure alignment with global processes and optimise use of the firm's shared services model.

Experience in business development within a legal or professional services environment.
Experience contributing to the development and implementation of BD strategies.
Ability to collaborate effectively across global and cross-functional teams.
Experience preparing client proposals, pitches, and panel submissions.
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret market data and identify growth opportunities.
Understanding of cross-selling strategies within professional services.
Experience using marketing technology and data tools to generate BD insights.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Familiarity with global professional services structures and shared services models.
