AP Accountant | FMCG

Position: AP Accountant | FMCG sector
Location: Groot-Bijgaarden

Our client is an international, fast-evolving organization and is looking for a hands-on finance professional to strengthen its AP & cash operations team.

Process PO and non-PO invoices (2-way & 3-way match), ensuring correct VAT treatment and accurate posting to cost centers and GL accounts
Handle employee expense notes in line with company policies
Prepare and execute weekly supplier payments and urgent payments when required
Act as a key contact for suppliers and internal stakeholders regarding AP and payment queries
Monitor EU cash balance requirements and propose intercompany settlements when needed
Prepare and publish monthly AP aging reports and ensure reconciliation between subledger and GL
Perform reconciliations (AP, bank, prepaid accounts) and investigate discrepancies
Support internal and external audits related to Accounts Payable
Apply incoming cash and support cash collection activities for dedicated markets
Follow up on outstanding receivables, manage reminders and resolve invoice variances
Proactively identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy

Experience:

2–5 years of experience in Accounts Payable, AR, or a similar operational finance role within an international environment

Languages:

Fluent in English; additional European languages are a strong asset

Qualifications:

Degree or training in accounting, finance or equivalent experience
