Job description As Senior Business Controller IT, you oversee financial activities within the IT organisation, bringing structure to budgets, transparency to costs, and a financial framework that supports informed decision-making. Working closely with the CIO and a small team, you coordinate with IT, Finance, Procurement and Group IT to build reliable, future-ready financial processes.

Phoenix Brussels – Equans headquarters
Zoom on the job:
formulate and administer the IT department's budget, forecast and actuals, and perform variance analyses with clear tracking and reporting of financial metrics
oversee IT expenditures, identify opportunities for cost optimisation, and support the use of cost-effective practices through cost-benefit analyses and monitoring of cost drivers
supervise the financial aspects of IT projects, ensuring structured follow-up and delivery within agreed budget parameters
ensure timely and accurate rebilling to IT internal customers and maintain the IT Belux rebilling framework
manage and optimise operational and capital expenditures through structured Opex and Capex planning and control
prepare and present financial reports for senior management, including insights and well-grounded recommendations
ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies
work closely with IT and finance teams to align financial objectives with broader business goals
facilitate financial discussions that support alignment and shared understanding across departments
provide the IT community with appropriate tools to support financial and budget processes
act as the main contact for procurement-related topics, including purchase orders, ordering and vendor management
Profile Come as you are, ideally with:
a master's or bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or a related field
at least 7 years of experience in financial management, experience in IT business controlling is a plus.
proficiency in financial software such as SAP and analytical tools
solid knowledge of IT financial processes, including budgeting, forecasting, recharging, Opex and Capex management
familiarity with financial reporting standards and financial documentation practices
a structured and detail-oriented way of working, with attention to accuracy and completeness
the ability to guide a small team, encourage collaboration, and support IT cost topics with clarity
analytical skills to connect overall objectives with detailed financial data
fluency in English and at least one Belgian national language, Dutch or French
