You’ll guide your team through day-to-day accounting activities, making sure everything runs like clockwork.

• Ensure consistency in accounting (purchases, sales, suspense accounts, adjustments)
• Follow up on customer/supplier accounts and help resolve disputes
• Check balance sheet accounts and keep open items under control
• Keep our chart of accounts in line with company needs
• Organize and balance the team’s workload

• Book monthly payroll entries with input from HR
• Prepare and review provisions (bonuses, holiday pay, bad debts, etc.)
• Deliver clean and clear monthly accounting overviews

• Update investment tracking reports
• Keep an eye on cost control across services and operations

• Review and submit VAT and annual tax returns
• Keep the CFO up to date on any new tax laws or fiscal changes

• Review balance sheets, income statements, and closing docs
• Assist with audits and discussions with external auditors
• Support the preparation of reports for general meetings, tax provisions, and more

• Strong sense of ownership and autonomy
• Experience in Belgian accounting and tax legislation
• A collaborative mindset—you work well with auditors, the CFO, and operational teams
• Leadership experience or natural mentoring skills
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and reliable
• A positive attitude and drive to keep things moving
• Strong communicator, you are willing to work in a Dutch, French and English environment
