Business Unit Director US / Sales Director

To further strengthen and expand our presence in America, we are looking for a Business unit Director US / Sales Director.

About the role

In this senior leadership role, you will define and execute the commercial and business development strategy across America.

You will be responsible for the establishment of the business unit, driving revenue growth, developing strategic partnerships and expanding our market share in the region. Acting as the key representative of the BRIAM Group in US, you will report directly to the CEO/ Executive Management in Belgium and work closely with headquarters to align regional activities with the group’s global strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and implement the commercial and business development strategy for the US
  • Identify, develop, and capitalize on new market opportunities across the region.
  • Build, manage, and expand a strong customer base, business unit and agent network, as well as strategic partnerships.
  • Lead high-level commercial negotiations and close complex, high-value contracts.
  • Represent BRIAM at international trade fairs, industry events, and key client meetings.
  • Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics to support strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, marketing, and operations teams to ensure successful project execution.
  • Act as a strategic advisor to headquarters regarding regional market developments and growth potential.
Your Profile
  • Master’s degree in Business Engineering, Business Administration, or a technical discipline.
  • Minimum of 8–10 years of experience in senior sales, business development, or general management roles within an international B2B environment.
  • Proven track record in developing markets and driving growth in the Americas.
  • Experience in industrial solutions, bulk storage, agri-food, or process industries is a strong asset.
  • Strong strategic mindset combined with a hands-on, entrepreneurial approach.
  • Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills at executive level.
  • Fluent in English;
    Spanish and/or Portuguese are strong assets (French is a plus).
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the Americas and occasionally to Belgium.
  • Independent, results-driven, and comfortable operating in a cross-cultural environment.
