Job Summary

Provides analysis, definition and recommendations to support Ocean Export Services improvements, efficiencies and business development. Provides analysis for projects, ad hoc studies, pricing and costing decisions, productivity assessment, process improvement, transition management and corporation training.

REQUIRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
  • Build effective relationships and credibility with external customers and within PSA BDP operations and other company functional groups.
  • Lead engagement with customer suppliers and business groups ensuring minimal disruption to export cargo flow.
  • Lead weekly virtual meetings with customer and vendors (Ocean Carrier, Dray Providers, Shipping Sites).
  • Perform business and process analysis using the data and information provided by internal systems and outside sources. Analysis offered includes more than just the numbers. It contains observations and ideas.
  • Participate on project management teams to determine ways to improve business processes. Ideally taking a lead role for some projects at the appropriate time.
  • Provide ad hoc analytical services to assist in problem solving and in times of crisis.
  • Produce reports and graphics for internal and external customers.
  • Offer ideas with substantive that add/create value and anticipate questions and concerns. Introduce new ways of thinking.
  • Performs other job-related duties and functions as required.
  • Lead implementation and assist in follow-up with each new site/BU onboarded.
  • Work with Client to ensure import/export regulatory compliance.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree required with at least four (4) to five (5) years of operational experience.
  • Candidate should have the ability to learn operational systems and visibility applications.
  • Proficient capabilities in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • The ability to work on a team and independently exercising strong decision and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Good coordination and multitasking capability.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving skills.
  • Proactive, adaptable and willing to learn.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a regional environment.
  • Good organizational and follow-up skills.
