Key Responsibilities
  • Review, assess, and moderate user‑generated content submitted across major social media platforms, ensuring strict compliance with community guidelines and platform policies in Arabic and English.
  • Identify, flag, and take appropriate action on harmful, offensive, misleading, or policy‑violating content including hate speech, graphic material, misinformation, and spam within the social media environment.
  • Accurately categorise and prioritise content reports according to established internal workflows, escalating complex or sensitive cases to senior moderators or team leads when required.
  • Monitor social media trends, emerging threats, and cultural nuances within Arabic‑speaking communities to ensure moderation decisions are contextually informed and culturally appropriate.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of moderation actions, decisions, and outcomes in accordance with internal quality and compliance standards.
  • Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams including Trust & Safety, Quality Assurance, and Operations to continuously improve moderation processes and platform safety on social media.
  • Provide constructive feedback and insights regarding recurring content issues, emerging patterns, and potential policy gaps to support ongoing platform improvement.
  • Uphold the highest standards of professionalism, emotional resilience, and ethical judgement when handling sensitive or distressing social media content on a daily basis.
Requirements
  • Native or fluent Arabic language skills (both spoken and written) are absolutely essential for this role.
  • Valid EU passport (mandatory requirement for on‑site employment in Bulgaria).
  • A genuine interest in social media platforms, digital content, and online community management, with a solid understanding of how social media ecosystems operate.
  • Strong critical thinking, sound judgement, and the ability to make accurate and consistent decisions under pressure in a fast‑moving social media moderation environment.
  • High level of cultural awareness and sensitivity, particularly regarding Arabic‑speaking communities and their online behaviours and communication styles.
  • Excellent attention to detail, strong written communication skills, and the ability to maintain high productivity and accuracy across extended moderation sessions.
  • Ability to work on a rotational shift schedule, including evenings and weekends, as required by the operational demands of a live social media platform.
  • Prior experience in content moderation, trust and safety, customer support, or a related digital role is advantageous but not strictly required — full training will be provided.
