Data Management Engineer

Overview

To support the growing needs of our projects, we’re looking for aData Management Engineer to join our team in the defence sector. You will work under the guidance of the Configuration Leader and contribute to thetraceability, consistency, and control of product datathroughout its lifecycle — from design to delivery and maintenance. The role is critical in ensuring compliance withmilitary standards,Exail’s internal procedures, and regulatory requirements.

This is a great opportunity towork on high-value industrial products, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to the continuous improvement and digitalizationof configuration processes, especially through

VBA scripting and data visualization tools.

• Manage and control product data includingparts, BOMs, drawings, and technical documentation in PLM and ERP systems.
• Handlecreation, modification, and updatesof parts and components in PLM/ERP tools.
• Help define and maintainconfiguration baselinesand ensure data consistency across systems.
• Support and prepare
  
  Configuration Control Boards (CCB), including tracking of change requests and implementation plans.
• Ensure compliance with industry and defence standards(e.g., ISO 10007, ISO 9001).
• Work closely with engineering, project management, manufacturing, quality, andsupply chain teams to ensure data accuracy and synchronization.
• Prepare documentation for internal and external audits, including traceability reports and configuration records.
• Generate Configuration Statusdocumentation and KPIs.
• Contribute tonew project Configuration Management Plans, in collaboration with the Configuration Leader.
• Automate recurring tasks and improve workflows using
  
  Excel VBA, Access and optionally Power BI for data analysis and dashboard creation.
