The Nuclear Entity of Tractebel seeks for its " ENGIE Electrabel Nuclear " department (m/f):

THE WORKING ENVIRONMENT

The Department is responsible for all the projects related to the studies and the modifications of existing Belgian nuclear power plants (Doel/Tihange) including Decommissioning projects and LTO (Long Term Operation) projects.

Within this Department you are responsible for projects (studies and/or modifications) related to the nuclear power plants in Belgium.

FUNCTION

As Senior Project Manager you will be in charge of the management of project(s) mainly related to safety studies, installation design development/modification in relation with the Spent Fuel Management (SFM) and in particular :

• You manage and monitor the scope, the schedule, the budget, the performances, the HSE (according to a ‘zero accident philosophy’) and nuclear safety aspects, the quality and the profitability of the project;
• You manage and drive the project for an optimal solution;
• You collaborate actively with your colleagues from Competence Centers and support departments (procurement, finance, risk management, …), in building a close relationship and working for the same goal;
• You set up a project organisation in accordance with the needs of the project;
• You define the tasks and delegate them amongst the people involved and you empower them to carry out the tasks;
• You the lead engineers of each discipline and you verify the adequate integration of the various specialities in the project;
• You organise meetings with the Client and develop a partnership approach with the Client in delivering Tractebel added value to the project;
• You take care of the technical and commercial contacts with the Clients and partners, if any, and you define commercial actions when appropriate;
• You attend steering, project, and purchasing committees (internal and external) and prepare the associated documents to convince the management and the stakeholders;
• You manage the project procurement activities (tender documents, tendering, negotiation, contracting and invoicing) for packages and insure that the Client’s requirements/targets are met;
• You report regularly to the SFM coordinator the status of your project and ensure the coherency with the spent fuel management strategy.

PROFILE

• You have a master in engineering;
• You have
  10 to 15 years of professional experience of which at least 5 years as a project manager or assistant project manager. A technical background in the field of safety studies is an asset;
• Knowledge of Belgian NPPs and of construction field are strong assets;
• Your mother tongue is French or Dutch (both are an asset). You have good spoken, writing and reading skills in English;
• You are result-oriented and highly motivated to reach your objective, with an eye for meeting the Client’s expectations;
• You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You are flexible, resistant to stress, rigorous and assertive. You have the ability to take decisions even in difficult situations. You are at ease with contacts and have a conflict management ability. You are able to convince people;
• You will be located in the Brussels HQ with frequent visits to the Belgian NPP site (Tihange and Doel) and occasionally visits outside Belgium;
• Belgian Habilitation to access nuclear sites is required.
