Job Description & How to Apply Below
Position: Industrial project engineer (Electrical)
Location: Town of Belgium

Industrial companies are accelerating their transition to cleaner, more energy‑efficient operations. Electrical systems are central to this shift: they influence energy consumption, system reliability, safety, and the integration of renewable technologies. Optimized electrical design enables reduced environmental impact, improved efficiency, and compliance with increasingly strict regulations.

As a consulting partner, our mission is to guide industrial clients toward sustainable, resilient, and future‑proof electrical infrastructures.

By joining our team, you directly contribute to building safer, more efficient, and more sustainable industrial electrical systems.

We are looking for a skilled Industrial Project Engineer (Electrical) with a consulting mindset.

In this role, you will advise industrial clients, lead electrical studies, design energy‑efficient solutions, and support project execution from a technical and strategic perspective. Your mission is to combine engineering expertise with client‑oriented consulting to deliver high‑value, sustainable outcomes.

What you will do
  • Conduct electrical audits to assess system performance, safety, and energy efficiency.
  • Advise clients on strategies to reduce energy consumption, improve reliability, and integrate sustainable solutions.
  • Prepare clear, actionable reports and technical recommendations tailored to client needs.
  • Perform electrical calculations (load flow, short‑circuit, selectivity, cable sizing, grounding, arc‑flash considerations).
  • Develop designs for LV/MV distribution systems, power supply systems, emergency power, and electrical protection.
  • Assess and propose energy‑efficient solutions (high‑efficiency motors, power factor correction, smart monitoring, renewable integration).
  • Prepare technical specifications, tender documents, and support procurement processes.
  • Ensure technical consistency and safety compliance throughout project execution.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, suppliers, and contractors.
What you will bring
  • Language proficiency: Fluent in Dutch and/or French + English
  • Mobility and flexibility: Whether you are behind the wheel with a B license or prefer low‑carbon commuting, you are ready to travel to client sites regularly.
  • Exceptional communication: You excel at synthesizing information and communicating it in a way that drives action.
  • Organizational wizardry: Juggling multiple projects? No problem – you’ve got the time management skills to keep everything on track.
  • Team spirit: You are an enthusiastic team player.
  • Passion for sustainability: You are deeply committed to sustainability, with a holistic understanding of its interconnected social and environmental challenges.
  • Motivated mindset: You are motivated to help our organisation succeed while making a real difference in the world.
Requirements
  • Master’s degree in Electrical, Industrial, or Energy Engineering.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical engineering, ideally in industrial or consulting roles.
  • Strong understanding of electrical design standards, safety regulations, and energy‑efficient solutions.
  • Familiarity with electrical design tools and simulation software (e.g., Caneco, EPLAN, …).
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to translate complex technical findings into client‑friendly advice.
  • Professional proficiency in English and French and/or Dutch.
Nice to have
  • Experience with renewable energy or electrical integration in sustainability projects.
  • Knowledge of automation, instrumentation, or control systems.
  • Experience with LCA, carbon footprint assessment, or ESG‑related topics.
  • Project management certifications (e.g., PMP, Prince2).
