Stress Lead Engineer; M​/F​/X

As leader of a stress team, you will be in charge of the management of all stress activities within a multidisciplinary project team, from preliminary design up to certification. You will supervise and check all activities delegated to stress engineers (e.g. the creation and/or update of the Finite Element Models, the structural analyses, the redaction of all stress reports…), and represent Sonaca for all stress aspects towards the customer, the suppliers and the partners involved on the project.

You will also be accountable for the performance of your team (on-time, on-quality and on-budget delivery).

• Master’s degree in mechanical / aerospace engineering (or equivalent)
• Minimum 8 years of experience in structural analysis of aircraft structures
• Minimum 2 years of experience as team leader

• Deep knowledge and understanding structural analysis methodologies (FEM and hand calculations)
• Deep knowledge of Finite Element Modelling
• Good knowledge in Fatigue & Damage Tolerance analyses

• Knowledge in one or more of these would be an asset: SAMCEF, NASTRAN, CATIA V5, Simcenter NX, Team Center, Linux.
• Microsoft Office

• Good level in English is mandatory (spoken & written). Speaking other European languages would be a plus.
