Within a team of engineers, your mission will be to design and develop systems and sub-systems within the Patient Management System component, covering the entire development lifecycle (processes, procedures, specifications) in line with project requirements and customer needs. As the system owner, act as the primary point of contact for complex topics related to architecture, design, maintenance, support, and onsite installation.
Provide expert guidance and ensure continuity throughout the system lifecycle. In this ownership role, contribute to shaping the future vision of the product by supporting the definition of the technical roadmap and helping the team anticipate tomorrow’s solutions.
- Participate in technical meetings together with technical experts and project manager
- Analyze, calculate, and evaluate the feasibility, impacts/risks, efforts and budget of the hardware solution according to specifications (technical, quality, compliance, etc.)
- Design/test or manage third parties’ integration of the selected solution for a new product/process or to optimize an existing product/process
- Document the hardware implementation using Medical Device Class II hardware development methodologies, frameworks, processes, and standards
- Write tests (protocols, reports) and participate in factory and site validation
- Create and maintain product/project nomenclature including non-commercial articles
- Transfer engineering documentation necessary for the manufacture of products, up to assembly or subcontracting and process of development
- Support to internal and external customers. Collaborate with the stakeholders about non-conformities analysis and decisions, deal with derogations and troubleshoot to support site installations
- Support/Coach team and feature (give advice, order material, etc.) by providing one’s own expertise according to one’s domain
- Shape the long-term vision of your systems, drive the technical roadmap, and influence key decisions in collaboration with engineering teams — ensuring consistency and innovation across the board
You have:
- Master's degree in Electronics, Electromechanics, Mechanics, or Industrial Engineering
- 10+ years of hands‑on hardware R&D experience in an industrial environment
- Knowledge and experience in Medical Device / regulated environment
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and their application in hardware R&D environments
- Fluency in French and English
- Accountable, rigorous, and proactive throughout the product lifecycle
- A clear communicator, able to align stakeholders at all levels
- A forward‑thinker who anticipates technical challenges and proposes concrete solutions
- A team player who enjoys mentoring and building shared technical vision across teams
- Willing to travel worldwide (10‑20 % a year approximatively)
