Second Engineer; STCW : III​/Dredging

Responsibilities

• You are in charge of an Engineering watch on board of a TSHD, CSD or split barge
• You are responsible for the maintenance and repairs of all technical installations on board
• You carry out duties according to STCW regulation
• You maintain and repair the technical equipment on board according to instructions of the Chief Engineer
• You operate the main and auxiliary machinery and the associated control system
• You maintain a safe engineering watch
• You observe the quality, health, safety and environmental system
• You give clear and balanced feedback to your co‑workers, aiming at the development of others

• You already have work experience on a Hopper dredger (TSHD) or Cutter dredger (CSD)
• You have a Certificate of Competency (STCW) of Second Engineer (III/2)
• You have an STCW VI/6-1 Security Awareness or 95-AVI/6-2 Designated Security Duties (preferable)
• You have a strong awareness of Health, Safety and Environment
• You have a hands‑on and no‑nonsense mentality
• You speak and write English fluent
