Talent Pool: Third Engineer Training - Offshore

Our Fall Pipe, Cable Laying, and Heavy Lift vessels are highly technological equipment operating in the offshore industry. As an engineer, you are part of the engine room watch and perform watch duties with due consideration for engine room safety.

• Carry out duties according to STCW regulation.
• Maintain and repair technical equipment on board following instructions of the First or Chief Engineer.
• Operate main and auxiliary machinery and the associated control systems.
• Assist the First and Chief Engineer for the efficient and safe running of maintenance of the equipment.
• Maintain a safe engineering watch.
• Observe the quality, health, safety and environmental system.

• Completed a maritime education in Engineering.
• Several years of work experience in the maritime or offshore field.
• Certificate of
  
  Competency:
  
  Officer in charge of an Engineering watch (III/1) or Second Engineer (III/2).
• Required, valid certificates for the position as per STCW 2010 Amendments.
• Valid HUET or BOSIET certificate (preferable).
• STCW VI/6 Security Awareness or VI/6 Designated Security (preferable).
• Valid Passport, Seaman's Book, Seafarers Medical certificate.
• Strong awareness of Health, Safety and Environment.
• Hands‑on, no‑nonsense mentality.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
