Test Engineer

Our client is an automotive company specializing in the production of hybrid transmissions. They have a robust R&D team with state-of-the-art test facilities, and comprehensive operational capabilities.

To expand their R&D team, we are looking for a Test Engineer to join the Validation team. In this role, you will be responsible for the test management of a specific part or module one of their products.

• Translate specific test requests into clear test procedures and determine which test equipment is required.
• Convert test requirements into practical and feasible test plans.
• Responsible for implementing a part of the extensive product design validation program and monitor the planned milestones.
• Translate medium-term planning into efficient weekly planning and proactively address obstacles to ensure progress.
• Prepare, coordinate, and execute development tests, including data analysis and clear reporting of the results.
• Work closely with colleagues (e.g. Validation Engineer, Technicians, Planner, ..) to quickly resolve any bottlenecks.
• Guide efforts in accordance with ISO 17025 quality standards.

Background:

• Master in Automotive, Electro-Mechanical with a strong interest for automotive or equivalent by experience
• Experience in the field of automotive testing and testing facilities.
• Experience with Hybrid Powertrains and Automatic Transmission is an advantage.
• Experience in technically leading a team

• Planning and structured approach
• Strong problem solving skills and are familiar with related methods like 8D. But more importantly, you prevent problems by applying a structured personal work method where preparation is as important as execution.
• Strong communication skills
• A fluent level of English (oral and written)
• Familiar with tools like CAN and MATLAB is an advantage
