As a Project Manager - New Builds you are responsible for the end-to-end delivery of large and complex investment projects, ranging from new vessel builds to major equipment and conversion projects. You take ownership from early concept development through to final delivery and integration into the fleet.
Operating at the intersection of technical, financial, and operational domains, you ensure that projects are executed safely, within budget, on schedule, and in line with performance expectations. You act as the central point of coordination across multiple stakeholders, translating business needs into robust technical solutions and driving projects towards successful completion.### Your responsibilities
* You lead the full lifecycle of new build and investment projects, from concept definition and feasibility to execution, commissioning, and operational handover.
* You define, monitor, and steer project scope, budget, and planning, ensuring alignment with agreed objectives and proactively managing deviations.
* You ensure that technical performance requirements are met by working closely with engineering teams and validating key design and execution decisions.
* You take ownership of budget follow-up, identifying cost drivers and implementing mitigation measures where needed.
* You develop and manage detailed project schedules, applying critical path analysis and actively managing risks and contingencies.
* You coordinate and align a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, acting as the central point of contact.
* You lead and motivate multidisciplinary project teams, ensuring the right expertise is mobilized throughout the different project phases.
* You provide structured reporting towards Business Units and senior stakeholders, clearly communicating progress, risks, and proposed solutions.
* You participate in stage gate reviews and support decision-making processes by delivering high-quality project insights.
* You ensure a strong presence on site during execution phases, regularly visiting shipyards and adapting your involvement based on project needs and local team strength.### Your Profile
* You hold a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering.
* You have at least 6 years of relevant experience in advanced project management within complex technical environments (e.g. maritime, offshore, or construction sector) and a total of minimum 15 years of working experience.
* You combine analytical thinking with a hands-on approach and are able to manage complexity across multiple disciplines.
* You are experienced in budget management, planning, and risk assessment within large-scale projects.
* You demonstrate strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence and align diverse teams.
* You are a natural leader, capable of driving projects forward and taking ownership in a dynamic and demanding environment.
* You are willing to travel regularly to project sites and shipyards worldwide and/ or willing to be present on site fulltime for a certain amount of months (depending on project and execution scope).### Our offer
* An extensive mobility program for a healthy work-life balance.
* A permanent training track which allows you to develop yourself personally and professionally.
* A stimulating, innovative workplace with numerous growth opportunities.
* A people-oriented environment with an interactive health program and a focus on employee wellbeing.### About UsDEME is a world leader in the highly specialised fields of dredging, solutions for the offshore energy industry, infra marine and environmental works.
