Location: Town of Belgium
Responsibilities
- Work under the direction of the Chief Engineer
- Maintain the electrical and electronic equipment of the vessel and, if applicable, the ROV
- Detect, report and solve electrical/electronic problems
- Possess thorough knowledge of high‑ and low‑voltage systems and PLCs
- Read electrical drawings easily
- Observe the quality, health, safety, and environmental system
- Bachelor or Master degree in electrical/electronic engineering, or a vocational/technical/engineering education in a similar field
- Preferable work experience in the maritime/offshore field
- Ability to motivate, guide and evaluate colleagues to ensure optimal productivity
- Preferred but not required:
Certificate of Competency Electro‑Technical Rating
III/7 or Electro‑Technical Officer
III/6 - Preferred but not required:
Valid STCWVI/1 Basic Safety Training - Strong communication and problem‑solving skills
- Hands‑on, no‑nonsense mentality
- Fluent speaking and written English
- Willingness to be away from home 4–5–6 weeks, depending on vessel type
