Sabena Engineering is looking for an experienced Aero Commodity Buyer.
Within the Aero Maintenance and Modification procurement team, the buyer will be responsible for supporting the procurement activity of avionics equipment/systems and related commodities.
Your main responsibilities involve:- Establish subcontracting statement of work in collaboration with internal clients
- Manage RFQs from selection of potential suppliers to presentation of the results to a multifunctional team
- Negotiate supplier agreements where appropriate
- Identify cost saving opportunities, support new product development
- Successfully drive KPI improvement action plans with non performing suppliers
- At least 5-10 years of experience in procurement, experience in aerospace is a plus
- Strong communication & negotiation skills, ability to work under stress.
- Autonomous, Proactive, Flexible, ability to work effectively in project teams
- Active written and spoken knowledge of English and French.
