Project engineer mechanical

Als design engineer binnen Atlas Copco Group in Wilrijk werk je mee aan de ontwikkeling van nieuwe producten die de ecologische voetafdruk van klanten verlagen. Je maakt deel uit van het Emerging Products team binnen de Oilfree Division, waar je innovatieve standaardoplossingen ontwikkelt op basis van bestaande blower- en compressorsystemen. Je werkt onsite en rapporteert aan de projectleider.

• Translate concepts to 3D- and 2D-designs and ensure correct specification of components such as bearings, gearings, and seals.
• Collaborate with project engineers, designers, and test engineers, and maintain direct contact with the prototype test lab.
• Ensure designs comply with standards and regulations and monitor technical quality throughout the full lifecycle.
• Follow prototypes, forward standard design work to internal partners, and keep all technical documentation up-to-date.
• Support production and service with technical issues and coordinate with specialists on simulations and testing to optimize products.

• Experience with 2D and 3D CAD such as AutoCAD and Inventor.
• Master’s degree in mechanical or electromechanical engineering.
• Experience in product development or engineering environment.
• Knowledge of component sizing such as bearings, gearings, and seals.
• Fluent English; knowledge of Dutch is a plus.
