Senior Project Manager Execution

Bio Blue is developing Bio Blue Ghent, a flagship biomethane project in the Port of Ghent that will convert organic waste into renewable gas and valuable circular co-products. Building on the proven success of our biomethane facility in Ieper, the project will contribute to the decarbonisation of industry, heat, and transport in Belgium.

To help deliver this ambitious project, we are looking for a Senior Project Manager Execution. In this role, you will take ownership of the execution phase, from construction preparation through commissioning and handover. You will coordinate engineering, procurement, contractors, and technical partners, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on time, within budget, and according to quality standards.

Reporting to Project & Plant Management, you will drive progress, manage interfaces and risks, and provide clear reporting and decision support throughout the project lifecycle.

• Master's degree in Engineering
• 10+ years of experience in large-scale industrial, energy, infrastructure, or CAPEX projects
• Proven experience in engineering management and multidisciplinary technical coordination
• Strong understanding of the full project lifecycle, including engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover
• Ability to lead technical teams, manage engineering interfaces, challenge technical solutions, and drive decision‑making
• Solid experience managing contractors, suppliers, external engineering partners, planning, project controls, contracts, risk, and change management
• Fluent in Dutch and English. Knowledge of French and/or German is considered an asset
• Proficient in MS Office, MS Project, Navisworks Viewer, AutoCAD Viewer, and similar technical or project management tools

• A key leadership position in the execution of a strategic biomethane project with significant industrial and societal impact

• Take ownership of the project execution phase, from construction preparation through commissioning, start‑up, and handover
• Lead the coordination of engineering, procurement, contractors, suppliers, HSE, contract management, and external technical partners
• Ensure alignment between engineering deliverables, technical interfaces, procurement packages, contractor inputs, and construction requirements
• Translate the master schedule into practical execution plans, priorities, work packages, and follow‑up actions
• Monitor project execution across scope, schedule, budget, quality, HSE, risk, change management, and contractor performance
• Identify risks, bottlenecks, and critical decision points at an early stage, propose solutions, and escalated issues where required
• Lead project coordination meetings and provide structured progress reporting to Project & Plant Management
