This is your chance! Citymesh is looking for an Innovation Project Manager to join the Citymesh Labs team.
Citymesh Labs is the R&D hub and innovation engine behind Citymesh. Within Labs, we design, test, and implement new connectivity solutions and applications. Think private 4G and 5G networks, high-density WiFi, autonomous drones, Drone-in-a-Box solutions, AGVs, IoT, AI, and smart city use cases.
As an Innovation Project Manager, you play a crucial role in turning innovative ideas into concrete projects with real impact. You form the bridge between technology, project execution, external partners, and innovation funding. In doing so, you translate complex technical concepts into strong project proposals, clear subsidy dossiers, and feasible project plans.
You work closely with internal teams, external partners, universities, research institutions, and industrial customers to test, validate, and further scale new technologies. This way, you make sure innovative ideas do not stay stuck in the concept phase, but grow into tangible solutions.
Your job in a nutshell:Innovation & subsidy dossiers: Spot opportunities for innovative projects and potential funding, for example through VLAIO, Horizon Europe, or other relevant programmes. Develop strong technical and content-driven dossiers and manage the process from first idea to submission and follow‑up.
Project structure & execution: Translate innovative ideas into concrete project plans with clear scope, timing, deliverables, and responsibilities. Coordinate execution within Citymesh Labs and make sure concepts are effectively tested, validated, and further developed.
Technical expertise & concept development: Dive into use cases around private 4G and 5G networks, high-density WiFi, drones, Drone-in-a-Box solutions, AGVs, IoT, AI, and smart city applications. Help shape concepts, proof of concepts, and scalable solutions.
Cross-functional teamwork: Work closely with internal technical teams, sales, product, operations, and other stakeholders to move innovation projects forward, both content-wise and practically. Make sure technical ideas are clearly translated into feasible project tracks.
Stakeholder management & partnerships: Build strong relationships with external partners, universities, research institutions, industrial customers, and consortium partners. Act as the connecting link between technical experts, business stakeholders, and external organisations.
Tech scouting & market insights: Stay up to date with trends in telecom, connectivity, R&D, AI, IoT, drones, AGVs, and other emerging technologies. Turn relevant insights into new project ideas, collaborations, or innovation opportunities.
Reporting & knowledge sharing: Provide clear project updates, technical reporting, presentations, and documentation. Share insights with the team and help strengthen the collective knowledge within Citymesh Labs.

Knowledge of mobile networks, 4G, 5G, or WiFi is a nice plus, but above all, your drive to understand and apply new technologies is what counts.
Complex ideas, technical concepts, and project information can be translated by you into concrete plans, strong dossiers, and clear communication.
Organisation is one of your strengths, and stakeholder management comes naturally. You keep a clear overview of deadlines, deliverables, and all parties involved, while switching effortlessly from an in-depth conversation with a developer to a strategic meeting with a consortium partner.
