Intern – Digital Office – Security Awareness Week

As an intern in DEME’s Digital Office, you’ll work hands‑on on the organization of a company‑wide Security Awareness Week. You’ll help set up activities, create communication materials, support events, and coordinate practical actions for employees, from crew to office staff across all DEME entities. This internship is about making security topics like cybersecurity and data protection clear, engaging, and relevant through an event that is part of a bigger awareness campaign.

Responsible for the operational execution of works on site, coordinating a team of site superintendents and project engineers, and reporting directly to the project manager. Focuses on the bigger scheme of things while superintendents handle day‑to‑day issues. Experience required in managing offshore subsea cable installation projects with a strong engineering and installation background.

Responsible for all survey activities on board, overseeing hydrographic and topographic measurements across all phases of dredging and offshore projects worldwide. Leads a team of surveyors.

Supports worldwide projects by transforming and analyzing large‑scale sensor and geospatial datasets. Challenges traditional physics‑based models with hybrid machine learning and probabilistic modelling, helping projects across tender, preparation, and execution phases.

Translates business needs into sustainable digital solutions, supporting operational excellence across the organization.

Drives maintenance data initiatives, ensuring critical information from vessels and new‑build projects is collected, validated, structured, and transformed into high‑quality digital assets. Works with maintenance, reliability, fleet engineering, and IT stakeholders to maintain accurate data for vessel operations.

Main responsible for the technical state of the Cable Burial Tool (CBT) on vessel and shore, executing burial per methodology, optimizing the burial process, leading improvement programs for the trencher, and training operational crew.

Contributes to complex marine and offshore projects worldwide, supporting innovative engineering through high‑quality geological expertise.
