NHV Group is a European based helicopter service provider, specialised in business-to-business helicopter services both offshore & onshore.

Are you a skilled Sheet Metal Worker with a passion for aviation and aircraft structures? Do you enjoy working with precision, craftsmanship, and technical expertise to keep aircraft in top condition? Then we would like to hear from you.

As a Sheet Metal Worker, you will be part of our Maintenance Department and report directly to the Chief Engineer. You will perform a wide range of aircraft structural repair and fabrication activities, including the disassembly, modification, repair, and reassembly of complex metal and composite aircraft structures such as airframes, fuselages, skins, and ribs. You will play a vital role in maintaining the structural integrity, safety, and airworthiness of our aircraft fleet.

Responsibilities

& Areas
  • Analyze and assess structural damage to aircraft metal and composite structures.
  • Fabricate, install, modify, and repair a wide variety of aircraft components made from materials such as aluminum, titanium, stainless steel, magnesium, honeycomb structures, alloys, and composite materials.
  • Perform corrosion repairs and carry out component removal and installation activities.
  • Repair or replace damaged sections and structural patches on aircraft systems and components.
  • Cut, bend, shape, and form metal and composite materials to precise specifications, including complex curves, angles, and contours.
  • Apply various assembly and fastening techniques, including riveting, welding, bolting, screwing, seaming, and soldering.
  • Ensure all completed work meets required appearance, strength, quality, and tolerance standards.

Procedures:

  • Interpret and work from engineering drawings, schematics, technical manuals, standards, and maintenance procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and professional working environment.
  • Ensure maintenance records and documentation are completed accurately and kept up to date.
  • Work closely with mechanics, avionics technicians, and other maintenance personnel to support operational requirements.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the maintenance department.
  • Comply with all health, safety, environmental, and safety management system requirements.
  • Handle tools, equipment, and materials safely and responsibly.
  • Comply with Information Security Management System (ISMS) policies and procedures and actively support the protection of company information and assets.

We are looking for candidates who have:

  • Practical experience in aircraft structural repair, either in aircraft manufacturing or within an aircraft maintenance environment.
  • Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical documentation.
  • Experience working within quality, safety, and environmental management systems.
  • A recognized apprenticeship or technical qualification in sheet metal work, aircraft structures, or composite engineering.

  • Professional proficiency in English (spoken, written, and reading).
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

You’ll be part of a team of 40 colleagues, working in a roster of 2 weeks ON – 1 week OFF (or 3 weeks ON – 2 weeks OFF or 4 weeks ON – 3 weeks OFF) from Monday to Saturday.
