Working across multiple offshore and dredging vessels, you will be exposed to a wide variety of technical challenges and become an important contributor to the long-term performance of our fleet.

Your

responsibilities
  • Prepare maintenance, repair, and modification activities related to vessel construction and general technical systems.
  • Develop technical solutions, repair methodologies, resource plans, budgets, and safety documentation for work on vessels.
  • Deliver detailed complete technical work packages and descriptions ready for execution during vessel maintenance campaigns, dry docks, and shipyard periods.
  • Define maintenance and repair methodologies for steel structures, hull damage, piping systems, and general vessel construction works.
  • Analyze recurring technical issues and work with reliability and fleet teams to identify sustainable improvements.
  • Provide technical support during inspections, surveys, and maintenance activities on vessels.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure efficient execution of technical activities.
  • Stay informed about technical innovations and best practices in shipbuilding, vessel maintenance, and maritime engineering.
Your profile
  • Master's degree in Naval Architecture, Electromechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • A minimal of 5 years relevant working experience in a technical environment such as shipbuilding, ship repair, maritime engineering, industrial maintenance, or heavy construction.
  • Knowledge of vessel construction, steel structures, piping systems, and general vessel maintenance.
  • Knowledge of HVAC, Fresh water systems, Technical water systems, … is considered a plus.
  • Interested in understanding how complex vessels are designed, maintained, and improved throughout their lifecycle.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently from manuals, drawings, and technical documentation.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Willing to travel occasionally to vessels, shipyards, or suppliers, while the position is predominantly HQ-based in Belgium.
Our offer
  • A challenging engineering role with exposure to a diverse fleet of highly specialised vessels.
  • The opportunity to work on structural, piping, and technical maintenance challenges across the fleet.
  • A stimulating, international and innovative working environment with numerous growth opportunities.
  • Continuous learning and development through dedicated training programs.
