Position: Environmental Coordinator Level A
Location: Town of Belgium

Mission Overview:

Keystone Solutions is seeking an Environmental Coordinator Level A for a consultancy mission at a client site. This role involves supporting the client's environmental coordinator in developing and implementing environmental policies to enhance sustainability and compliance.

About the Role:
  • Assist in the development and implementation of environmental policies:
    Support in setting and monitoring environmental objectives and actions to continuously improve environmental performance and enhance the organization's image.
  • Establish environmental objectives/actions within the organization and monitor their execution.
  • Advice and compliance:
    Advise internal teams on environmental issues and the application of legal standards, including ISO 14001 requirements, to ensure full compliance.
  • Environmental aspects and effects:
    Help identify, evaluate, and manage the environmental impacts of activities and projects.
  • Project support:
    Assist in preparing and coordinating environmental permit applications and reports such as Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA).
  • Prepare both nuclear and non-nuclear permit files in collaboration with other departments.
  • Coordinate the environmental impact report.
  • Coordinate and prepare environmental permit applications.
  • Environmental controls and administrative tasks:
    Monitor environmental performance and ensure accurate administrative reporting, including annual mandatory declarations and reports.
  • Follow up on federal and regional environmental legislation and ensure compliance on-site.
  • Prepare administrative reporting obligations (e.g., reporting released materials, declarations, etc.).
  • Draft annual reports on radioactive discharges and environmental annual reports.
  • Continuous improvement:
    Help maintain and improve the environmental management system in accordance with ISO 14001 and support internal audits and follow-up on corrective actions.
  • Maintain an environmental management system according to ISO 14001.
  • Conduct and guide environmental aspect analyses for new installations or significant changes to existing installations.
  • Conduct internal audits, including follow-up on corrective and preventive actions.
  • Monitoring and reporting:
    Track emissions and environmental measurements, process measurement results, and report according to applicable environmental legislation.
  • Ensure the execution of prescribed emission and immission measurements.
  • Follow up, process, interpret, and report measurement results.
  • Coordinate, organize, and optimize technical processes, areas, and projects, provide specialized advice, and develop safety guidelines within the specialization to improve operational efficiency.
  • Proactively identify optimization opportunities in collaboration with various internal and/or external stakeholders to map and initiate improvements/projects.
  • Prepare, guide, and execute in-depth and specialized calculations, analyses, and/or research to enable adjustments and innovations contributing to optimizations.
  • Develop technical solutions and specifications for projects/questions to address improvement needs.
  • Conduct and/or participate in risk analyses and establish safety measures for projects, changes, and periodic reviews to contribute to the safety of installations and the broader work environment.
  • Lead, organize, and adjust projects, as well as report to ensure work is completed in line with deadlines, budgets, project objectives, and quality requirements.
  • Continuously analyze and provide necessary project, maintenance, and/or framework contracts in accordance with public procurement law, and act as the leading official to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Provide in-depth technical advice and act as an expert within the specialization for internal and external stakeholders, as well as follow up on realizations to technically assist stakeholders and facilitate analyses, projects, and work from the own substantive knowledge.
  • Act as a knowledge bearer for the specialization within the organization to centralize, standardize, secure, and share specific knowledge and information.
Profile:
  • A completed degree (Bachelor or Master) in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering (preferably Environmental Coordinator Level

    A).
  • Up to 2 years of work experience in an industrial environment.
  • Knowledge of environmental legislation and environmental management systems, with a strong preference for ISO 14001.
  • Willingness to visit work sites and conduct compliance audits.
