Do you want to turn challenges into opportunities and explore new horizons? Join DEME as a Project Finance Manager for our Offshore and Dredging projects. DEME is a global leader in dredging and land reclamation, offering solutions for the offshore energy market, environmental and marine works.
Responsibilities- Coordinate, manage and follow up on all financial aspects of assigned projects.
- Ensure timely and sound execution of accounting and reporting of financial project results, budget control, analytical accounting and maintenance of standardized structures and procedures.
- Identify potential financial risk areas and support implementation of risk‑mitigating activities, including tax matters.
- Coordinate and follow up on all project administration, planning, on‑site logistics, staff support and general administration.
- Provide advice to Project Management and other departments, ensuring up‑to‑date knowledge of financial and fiscal laws and contractual requirements.
- Maintain contact with clients, local authorities, subcontractors and other partners.
- Report to an Area/Business Controller in the head office in Belgium and to the Project Manager.
- Master’s degree in applied economics, accountancy or finance.
- Fluency in English and Dutch; knowledge of other languages is an asset.
- At least 10 years of experience in a financial or audit position, including 5 years of project work.
- Leadership skills with proven experience in the domain.
- Ability to work independently.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Strong decision‑making ability and initiative in finding solutions.
- Prepared to work from project offices in the Benelux or on an expatriate basis on overseas project sites or regional offices abroad for extended periods.
