As our new Cyber Security Specialist, you’ll be the driving force behind protecting our people, systems, and data while guiding us toward ISO/IEC 27001 certification and compliance with the NIS2 Directive.

What you’ll do

Are you someone who spots risks before others even notice them? Do you thrive on solving puzzles and keeping one step ahead of potential threats? In this role, you’ll do exactly that, making our digital environments more secure every single day.

• Analyze cyber risks and translate them into clear, actionable security controls.
• Implement and maintain information security policies, standards, and procedures.
• Conduct audits, tests, and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and fix them before they matter.
• Lead the design and enforcement of security controls across production, R&D, and IT.
• Monitor and respond to incidents, turning challenges into opportunities to strengthen our defenses.
• Raise awareness across the organization with training and workshops that make cybersecurity everyone’s responsibility.
• Collaborate closely with IT teams, management, and external partners to ensure compliance and readiness for ISO/IEC 27001 certification (target Q2 2026).
• Prepare and coordinate disaster recovery and business continuity plans so we’re always resilient.

What you bring

You’re more than just a specialist, you’re a proactive problem-solver with the drive to make security part of our DNA. You’re curious about new technologies, pragmatic in execution, and resilient under pressure.

• A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
  Hands-on experience in IT security (firewalls, intrusion detection, access control).
• Knowledge of ISO/IEC 27001, NIS2, and cybersecurity best practices.
  A relevant certification (e.g. CISSP) is a strong plus.
• Strong communication skills: you can explain complex security topics in clear, simple language.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating seamlessly across departments.
• Up-to-date knowledge of current cybersecurity trends, tools, and emerging threats.
• Pragmatic, stress-resistant, and motivated to hit ambitious goals.
• Good knowledge of Dutch & English
