We are currently recruiting a Support Engineer (m/f/x), to join our IT team , as part of our Central Services team which is located in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany , Spain and the United Kingdom and consists of more than 50 specialists who are also responsible for the reporting, accounting, legal, tax, investor relations, HR , ESG and information management functions of the Waterland group.
Rolesummary
As Support Engineer , youareservice-minded, take ownership of issues, anddemonstratedeep technicalexpertisein Microsoft 365 and related technologies. This role focuses on providing high-quality operational support, improving system reliability, and ensuring smooth day-to-day IT service delivery in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
The ideal candidate will:
- Provide advanced technical support for Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, Intune, and device management.
- Troubleshoot incidents and requests efficiently, ensuringtimelyresolution and clear communication with end-users.
- Act as the first point of escalation for complex issues within the IT environment.
- Collaborate with IT colleagues and business teams to implement system improvements and automation opportunities.
- Maintainaccuraterecords of incidents, problems, and changes in the ITSM tool.
- Assist with IT asset management, lifecycle tracking, and user onboarding/offboarding processes.
- Document solutions, create knowledge base articles, and contribute to IT operational guides.
- Support rollout and maintenance of IT projects (e.g., system upgrades, migrations, integrations).
The Support Engineer will report to theIT Infrastructure and Operations Manager,alsobased in the Netherlands.
Candidate profileWe are seeking candidates(m/f/x) who can meet the following requirements:
- Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft 365 E5 suite (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, Intune, Endpoint Manager).
- Solid understanding of Windows client environments, device management, and identity/access management (Azure AD / Entra ).
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a customer-first mindset .
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of technical issues until resolution.
- Clear communication skills in English (written and verbal).
- Familiarity with IT service management (ITIL-based processes).
- Flexibility to support critical issues outside standard working hours when required.
Preferred Certifications
- Microsoft Certified:
Modern Desktop Administrator Associate (MD-102) - Microsoft Certified:
Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals (SC-900 optional) - ITIL Foundation Certification
- CompTIA A+ or equivalent support certification
