As a Junior System Engineer – Azure, Microsoft & Cloud, you’ll work closely with our experienced engineers on the design, implementation, and management of modern Microsoft and cloud infrastructures for our clients. You’ll be part of our Managed IT Solutions (MIT) team, where knowledge sharing, growth, and teamwork are key.

After thorough training, you will be responsible for the following (sub) domains and tasks:

• Contributing to the build of Azure landing zones
  , network components, and secure IaaS/PaaS environments.
• Configuring Virtual Machines, Storage Accounts, VNets, Firewalls, and more.
• Supporting the implementation of governance and policy frameworks (RBAC, Azure Policies).

Hybrid Connectivity & Identity

• Preparing and executing integrations between on-premises environments and Azure (VPN, Express Route, Entra ).
• Contributing to hybrid identity solutions through Entra  (Azure AD).

Security & Compliance by Design

• Working alongside senior engineers on Zero Trust principles, Defender for Cloud, Conditional Access, and compliant cloud foundations.

Automation & Infrastructure as Code

• Automating with Bicep, ARM templates, and Power Shell
  .
• Transforming repetitive tasks into reliable, repeatable scripts.

Monitoring & Operations

• Assisting in the configuration of Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and alerts.
• Supporting patching, updates, troubleshooting, and cost optimization (Fin Ops mindset).

Business Continuity

• Helping to set up and maintain Azure Backup and Azure Site Recovery

• Contributing to implementations of Azure Virtual Desktop or Windows 365 Cloud PCs.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, ideally in systems, network, cloud, or infrastructure
• C2-level Dutch and a good command of English
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, and cloud concepts
• Strong interest in modern workplace, security, and automation
• Analytical, autonomous, and a true team player
• Eager to learn and solution-oriented
• Comfortable with client contact

• First experience with Azure (internship, lab, personal projects, or certifications like AZ-900, MS-900, AZ-104 in progress)
• Knowledge of Entra , Intune, Defender, Conditional Access
• Basic Power Shell scripting
• Experience with hybrid environments (on-prem + cloud)
• Personal cloud or home lab projects
