Project Overview:

We are entering an era where Generative AI is no longer just a trend but a core business requirement. Our AWS AI/ML team is launching the Enterprise GenAI Accelerator project. This internship offers a unique opportunity for one student to build a production‑ready “Accelerator” designed for consultancy teams to demonstrate and deploy high‑tier GenAI capabilities on AWS. It provides a perfect foundation for a master’s thesis, focusing on the synergy between Large Language Models (LLMs) and modern cloud automation.

Description:

The goal is to create a modular, multi‑tenant‑ready chatbot architecture. This project is built on two fundamental pillars:
GenAI Excellence and Dev Ops Leadership. Using a Python‑native stack (Streamlit, Boto3, Lang Chain), you will develop a decoupled back‑end capable of sophisticated reasoning, while simultaneously building the CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) required to deploy this solution at scale.

Focus:

We are looking for a versatile student who is passionate about both AI development and the underlying systems that make AI reliable. You will act as the bridge between data science and software engineering, ensuring that advanced AI models are not just functional, but production‑ready, secure, and easily deployable.

Requirements:

• Programming:
  Strong proficiency in Python (the primary language for both AI logic and infrastructure).
• Cloud Knowledge:
  Familiarity with AWS services and a strong interest in “Cloud Native” development.
• Automation Mindset: A desire to automate everything, from model testing to cloud resource provisioning.
• Problem Solving:
  Ability to navigate complex documentation and integrate emerging AI tools.
• Language:
  Dutch language – fully professional level.

We are looking for dedicated Data / AI Engineers (Lead Engineer and seniors with extensive experience in Data engineering, AI and public cloud areas) to interpret our customers’ business and technical requirements and extract value from their data, using Dataiku and GCP products and services along with other industry‑known technologies.

In this position you will:

• Work as part of the Data & AI Factory team, supporting their data‑ops and AI projects.
• Be involved in designing, building, maintaining and troubleshooting data pipelines, models and transformations.
• Help build, maintain and troubleshoot data observability solutions to improve data quality.
• Help turn data into valuable business insights, preparing custom solutions optimised for each client.
• Act as a trusted advisor for junior team members.
