DS Scrum Master

As advanced analytics manager in the Data Factory team, you will lead a team of 7 data analysts, scientists and engineers to support IBA’s transition towards a data-driven company. Since its creation, about 3 years ago, the data and analytics team has been working to empower employees with data to help them become more efficient and make informed decisions. The team is working on two pillars: (1) enabling self-service analytics by making data available in a state-of-the-art data warehouse;

and (2) improving operations with advanced analytics (incl. AI and machine learning).

Today, the team is enjoying its success as the number of internal data users keeps increasing and strong business cases are defined in the 4 business units. In that context, the advanced analytics manager’s priority is to identify, evaluate and prioritize business cases and act as an agile coach for the team to make sure they work efficiently. You will also identify gaps in the internal user’s data experience and find ways to bridge them.

In addition, you will develop the organization’s internal capacity to effectively operationalize data by defining the company’s data governance.

• Understand internal and external users’ needs for data, prioritize them based on business impact and translate them into actionable projects for the data and analytics team
• Own the team’s backlog and agile ceremonies so they can focus on the projects
• Coach and mentor the data and analytics team
• Operationalize the data strategy at IBA and proactively offer new insights and perspectives that allow to improve it
• Support and refine the data governance, including the data catalogue project
• Share best practices and act as an evangelist to promote a data culture

You have the following experience:

• At least 5 years of experience as data analyst, data scientist or data engineer
• At least 3 years of experience managing a team
• Strong experience interacting with external or internal clients
• Good experience with the Agile methodology
• Good experience with a cloud data stack and a visualization tool, Azure and Power Bi preferred

• Customer oriented, with excellent listening and communication skills
• A servant leader willing to bring the team to the next level
• Proactive and willing to share ideas to improve the status quo
• Fluent in French and English
