A Cloud Architect is responsible for setting and managing Nipro’s cloud strategy. This includes cloud adoption plans and cloud landing zone definition, cloud application design, and cloud management and monitoring. Cloud architects oversee application architecture and deployment in cloud environments and edge environments. He acts as a consultant to Nipro IT and Business (including NDTE and MIC) and must stay current on the latest trends and technologies and actively share cloud knowledge through leading workshops, giving trainings and being a lead in a project or product design.
The architectures and designs defined and governed by the Cloud Architect take into account not only the technical design of the various cloud components, but also information security in relation to data confidentiality and GDPR, availability and disaster recovery, monitoring, support and cost. With regard to third parties (the cloud and service providers), the Cloud Architect is involved in the legal aspects of cloud computing and supports negotiation of contracts and works with legal and procurement departments.
The Cloud Architect ensures service-level agreement requirements are met. Within Nipro, the Cloud Architect is responsible not only for Microsoft Azure, but also for PaaS and SaaS solutions in other cloud environments, including SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and various cloud applications and platforms such as SAP SAC & Datasphere, IBM Maximo, Nipro Nephro Flow, etc. In the transition period working toward the Nipro CCoE, the Cloud Architect drives the implementation of Infrastructure as Code and is responsible for deployments of solutions in the cloud.
- Relevant experience in cloud engineering.
- Microsoft Azure experience.
- IT infrastructure experience (security, network, ...).
- Fluent in English.
- Entrepreneur mindset.
