Odoo Techno-Functional Consultant — Logistics & Inventory Lead; Freelance

About the Mission

We are looking for an experienced Odoo Techno-Functional Consultant to help configure, optimize, and scale our Odoo setup, with a strong focus on logistics and inventory operations.

You will play a key role in designing robust operational workflows, supporting internal teams, and ensuring that Odoo is effectively adopted across the business.

• Configure and evolve Odoo modules, primarily Inventory and Purchase
  , with additional involvement on Sales
  , CRM
  , and basic Accounting when needed.

• Design and optimize logistics and inventory workflows:

  • multi-warehouse management

  • picking routes

  • inbound and outbound operations

  • cycle counts

  • barcode workflows

  • carrier integrations

• Train internal users through live sessions and clear written documentation.

• Document configurations, processes, and functional decisions to ensure long-term maintainability.

• Audit the current setup, identify operational friction points, and propose concrete, prioritized improvements.

• Advise on Odoo best practices:

  • data quality and hygiene

  • naming conventions

  • access rights

  • automations

  • Studio vs custom development decisions

• Depending on your profile, contribute to:

  • light custom developments (Python/XML)

  • API and webhook integrations with third-party tools

  • minor OWL front-end adjustments

• Work end-to-end with business teams to ensure configured processes are practical, adopted, and effective in day-to-day operations.

• Must-Have: 5+ years of experience as an Odoo Consultant, with strong expertise on recent versions (v18/v19).

• Solid experience with Odoo.sh: staging/production workflows, builds, Git-based deployments.

• Strong expertise in Inventory and Purchase modules: routes, replenishment rules, picking operations, logistics flow design.

• Proven experience training and supporting end users — not only system configuration.

• Strong autonomy and ownership mindset: ability to lead projects end-to-end, prioritize effectively, challenge requests when relevant.

• Fluent French and professional English required.

• Nice-to-Have:
  Technical Odoo skills (Python, XML, custom module development, APIs/webhooks).

• OWL front-end experience is a strong plus, but not required.

• Experience in multi-company environments.

• Experience with Manufacturing / MRP.

• Knowledge of retail, e-commerce, or B2B logistics operations.

• Experience supporting SMEs during scaling or structuring phases.

• Familiarity with integration middleware tools such as n8n (or equivalent).
