Are you passionate about fortifying software and systems in a fast-evolving environment? Our client, a prominent organization in the banking sector, is seeking an Application Security Engineer for a contractual role based in Brussels, Belgium. This is a unique opportunity to be part of their Application Security & Vulnerability Management team
, where you'll play a pivotal role in promoting secure development practices within a collaborative and Agile environment.
- Providing support to squads in integrating and utilizing application security tools effectively.
- Performing code reviews using SAST tools to identify vulnerabilities.
- Assessing third-party libraries via SCA tools to manage dependencies.
- Delivering training sessions on secure coding and common vulnerabilities.
- Coaching development teams in secure practices, including Sec Dev Ops .
- Maintaining infrastructure for automated code reviews and ensuring adherence to security guidelines.
- Monitoring, reporting, and following up on identified vulnerabilities.
- Providing guidance to resolve security risks and incidents effectively.
- Proficient understanding of Agile, Dev Ops, and SDLC environments
. - Experience in application development with keen interest in security.
- Familiarity with tools like Jenkins, Git Lab, Maven, and Docker
. - Interest in or knowledge of penetration testing and network security
. - Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to grow as a security expert.
- English:
Fluent (mandatory). - Dutch or French: A plus.
