Network System Engineer

Aerospacelab recently broke ground on its Megafactory, the world’s third largest satellite manufacturing facility,scheduled to begin operations in 2026.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Network System Administrator with a strong background in Fortinet and Palo Alto products tojoin our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years of professional experience in network administration, along with fluency in both English and French.

• Network Management:
• Design,implement, and manage network infrastructure using Fortinet and Palo Alto products.
• Configure and maintain firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection/prevention systems(IDS/IPS), and other security appliances.
• Monitor network performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
• Security:
• Develop and enforce network policies and procedures.
• Perform regular security assessments and vulnerability testing.
• Respondto and mitigate network security incidents.
• Support& Maintenance:
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for network-related issues.
• Conduct regular network maintenance, updates, and upgrades.
• Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, changes, and upgrades.
• Work closely with other IT team members to ensure seamless integration ofnetwork systems.
• Collaborate with external vendors and service providers to support and enhance network infrastructure.
• Trainand support end-users and junior staff on network-related technologies and best practices.

• Education& Certification:
• Bachelor’sdegree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Fortinet NSE, Palo Alto PCNSE) are highly desirable.
• Experience:
• Minimumof 4 years of hands-on experience in network administration.
• Proven experience with Fortinet and Palo Alto network products.
• Strong understanding of network protocols, firewall management, and network security principles.

• Technical Expertise:
• In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with Fortinet firewalls Forti Manager,Forti Analyzer, and other Fortinet security appliances.
• Proficiency in configuring and managing Forti Gate firewall policies, VPNs(site-to-site and remote access), and security profiles.
• Familiarity with Fortinet SD-WAN and integration of Fortinet products in complex network environments.
• Strong understanding and practical experience with Palo Alto firewalls,Panorama management, and Global Protect VPN.
• Abilityto create and manage security policies, configure NAT, and implement advanced threat prevention features.
• Knowledge of App-, User-, and Content- within Palo Alto products.
• Network Security:
• Thorough understanding of network security concepts, protocols, and best practices.
• Experience in implementing and managing intrusion detection/prevention systems(IDS/IPS).
• Proficient in performing security assessments, vulnerability testing, and penetration testing.
• Network Infrastructure:
• Solid knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, HTTP/S, FTP, etc.)and routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP).
• Experience with VLANs, subnetting, and network segmentation.
• Familiarity with wireless networking, load balancers, and proxy servers.
• Analytical and Problem-Solving:
• Strong analytical skills to diagnose network issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
• Abilityto conduct thorough network performance analysis and optimize network resources.
• Proficiency in using network monitoring and diagnostic tools (Wireshark, Solar Winds,PRTG, etc.).
• Communication:
• Fluentin both English and French, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
