Senior Automation Engineer (Infrastructure) - Belgium, onsite 5 days per week
We are seeking an experienced Senior Automation Engineer to lead the adoption of Infrastructure Automation and Automation-as-Code across our enterprise technology environment. You will design, develop and maintain scalable automation solutions using Ansible
, working across infrastructure, cloud, network, security and platform teams to improve operational efficiency, consistency, security and resilience.
This is a hands‑on engineering role requiring deep technical expertise, strong problem‑solving skills and a passion for eliminating manual processes through automation. You will help shape the organisation's automation strategy and build a modern, resilient infrastructure platform.
You must be able to work onsite in Belgium 5 days per week.
- Design, develop and maintain enterprise automation solutions using Ansible
. - Build reusable playbooks, roles, collections and automation frameworks.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, patching and lifecycle management across Linux and Windows environments.
- Develop Infrastructure-as-Code and Automation-as-Code standards and promote adoption across engineering teams.
- Automate security hardening, compliance checks, vulnerability remediation and audit reporting.
- Improve operational resilience through automated remediation, recovery and disaster recovery processes.
- Integrate automation with enterprise platforms, monitoring and operational tooling.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, security, architecture and application teams to identify and deliver automation opportunities.
- Mentor engineers, contribute to technical standards and act as a subject matter expert for enterprise automation.
- Strong experience with Ansible and infrastructure automation.
- Experience with Linux and Windows platforms
- Automation-first mindset with excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management and documentation skills.
- Self‑motivated, collaborative and focused on continuous improvement.
