As Dev Ops at Nalantis you will work with developers and the IT staff to oversee the code releases, combining an understanding of both engineering and coding. From creating and implementing systems software to analyzing data to improve existing ones, you as a Dev Ops Engineer increase productivity in the workplace. You understand the software development lifecycle and have a clear understanding of various automation tools for developing digital pipelines.

Objectives of the Role

Building and setting up new development tools and infrastructure for SaaS services

Understanding the needs of stakeholders and conveying this to developers

Working on ways to automate and improve development and release processes

Testing and examining code written by others and analyzing results

Ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats

Identifying technical problems and developing software updates and ‘fixes’

Working with software developers and software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended

Planning out projects and being involved in project management decisions

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities

Deploy updates and fixes

Provide technical support

Build tools to reduce occurrences of errors and improve customer experience

Develop software to integrate with internal back-end systems

Perform root cause analysis for production errors

Investigate and resolve technical issues

Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance

Skills and Qualifications

Experience as a Dev Ops Engineer or similar software engineering role

Proficient with git and git workflows

Experienced in containerisation (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes)

Good knowledge of cloud environments (especially AWS) and Linux OS

Experience in infrastructure/provisioning automation tools (especially Puppet, Ansible, Terraform)

Good knowledge of Ruby, Java, or Python

Working knowledge of databases and SQL

Problem-solving attitude

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor/Master in Computer Science or Software Engineering

Experience with software engineering, customer experience

Experience developing and deploying SaaS software systems
