Job Description:

The Local Workplace Engineer is responsible for supporting, maintaining, and improving workplace technologies and end-user environments within a country. The role ensures reliable workplace operations, efficient provisioning, secure endpoint management, and high-quality user support aligned with global workplace standards.

As part of the Infrastructure & Platforms team, you will help build and operate a modern, secure and increasingly cloud-first infrastructure landscape. You ll play a key role in automating operational activities, improving platform reliability, supporting Azure adoption and reducing manual work across our environment.

• Cloud & Platform Operations Support and improve our Azure and hybrid infrastructure platforms.
• Manage and optimise Windows and Linux environments.
• Contribute to cloud migration and infrastructure modernisation initiatives.
• Ensure services remain secure, stable and available.

• Automation & Engineering Automate operational tasks using tools such as Power Shell, Ansible, Terraform and Git.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code and operational runbooks.
• Improve provisioning, patching, monitoring and maintenance processes.
• Help standardise and simplify infrastructure operations.

• Reliability & Monitoring Monitor platform health, performance and availability.
• Support incident investigation and root cause analysis.
• Improve observability, alerting and operational dashboards.
• Identify opportunities to increase resilience and reduce recurring issues.

• Collaboration & Continuous Improvement Work closely with infrastructure, network, security and application teams.
• Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing.
• Promote automation, standardisation and operational excellence across the organisation.

Experience 3+ years of experience in infrastructure, cloud, systems engineering or platform operations.

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure.
• Experience managing Windows and/or Linux environments.
• Experience with automation and scripting.

• Technical Skills Azure Infrastructure Services Power Shell, Ansible, Terraform and/or Python Git and Infrastructure as Code principles Monitoring and observability platforms Service Now and Jira are an advantage Knowledge of VMware or hybrid-cloud environments is a plus

• Education Bachelor s degree in IT, Computer Science or equivalent through experience.
• Languages English is required. Dutch and/or French are a strong advantage.
