Become a part of our team
At In The Pocket, you join a multidisciplinary team of designers, engineers, strategists and data specialists who care about the work as much as the people they work with. We work in small, autonomous teams that stay close to our clients and their users, and we give everyone the space to take ownership, speak up and grow. You’ll learn from colleagues across our studios, ship products that reach thousands or even millions of people and help shape what digital can do for leading organisations in Europe.
Whatyou’ll do
We're looking for a Dev Ops engineer who wants to help us improve and scale the reliability, quality and efficiency of what we build.
- Take shared ownership of internal and hosted products in production, helping keep them reliable, secure, performant and cost-effective.
- Take part in the incident lifecycle (detection, response, mitigation, resolution and blameless post-mortems) using incident.io, and join a fair, sustainable on-call rotation.
- Help define and implement SLIs, SLOs and error budgets, and support maintenance and SLA presales with technical input for proposals and contracts.
- Contribute to a modern observability stack with a strong focus on Open Telemetry.
- Help grow a platform engineering and inner-sourcing culture by building reusable components (e.g. Git Lab components, Terraform modules) and following self-service golden paths and production-readiness scorecards.
- Work hands-on across CI/CD, infrastructure as code, cloud-native architecture and networking, and help design for resilience, performance and scale.
- Embed security into what you run: secrets management, scanning (SAST/DAST), and support penetration tests and vulnerability remediation.
- Reduce toil through automation and an AI-first approach to operations, keeping a close feedback loop with the development teams.
- Help apply and follow best practices in incident management, learning from more senior colleagues along the way.
You won't tick every box on day one, depth in the core matters more than breadth across all of it, and you'll grow the team's capabilities around the gaps.
- A Dev Ops / SRE engineer with hands-on experience running products in production and a growing sense of ownership for their reliability.
- Eager to contribute to and grow with a young team and discipline, comfortable picking up responsibility as it develops.
- AI-native in how you work: AI is part of your daily craft, and you apply it to operations, automation and reliability.
- Familiar with incident management (incident.io a plus), with some exposure to SLIs and SLOs; experience with maintenance/SLA contracts and presales is a bonus, not a must.
