About Sunrise Group
Sunrise Group is building the future of sleep health by combining breakthrough technology with expert care. We started in 2015 with a straightforward idea: sleep diagnosis should happen in the comfort of your own home, not in a hospital. To make that possible, we created a first-of-its-kind chin sensor, carefully validated through clinical research, reviewed by leading sleep experts, and cleared by the FDA.
Since then, Sunrise Group has grown from a single innovation into a complete sleep health company. We now design advanced diagnostic and treatment solutions, and we deliver care directly to patients through Dreem Health, our digital sleep clinic. By serving patients in all 50 states with reimbursed care, we are making sleep treatment more accessible, more personal, and much simpler than it has ever been.
Your OpportunityThe Data Analyst owns analysis delivery across the business, spanning Acquisition, Clinical Operations, Revenue, Product and Supply. This is the second position in the analytics function, and a generalist one. Requests arrive from different teams as open questions, and the role is responsible for scoping them into defined analytical problems, producing the analysis, and turning the insights into a recommendation the business can act on.
Beyond the analyses themselves, the role builds and maintains the data model and the BI layer: the datasets and dashboards that let stakeholders track and report on their own work independently. That self-sufficiency is a deliberate objective to keep the analytics team focused on exploratory and investigative work. Metric definitions and modeling standards are maintained collaboratively within the team, so numbers stay consistent wherever they are used.
The role also occasionally touches the data pipelines feeding those datasets, setting up new ones so the data exists, improving existing ones, or investigating transformations that fail.
As Data Analyst, here's what you'll do:
- Operations and growth analysis: Analyze the end-to-end patient funnel to identify bottlenecks and quantify improvement levers. Design and interpret experiments to measure the impact of operational and commercial changes.
- Product analysis: Analyze the patient journey at each step to identify friction points, quantify opportunities, and support product prioritization decisions.
- Financial analysis: Analyze revenue, margin and reimbursement performance to support prioritization of business initiatives.
- Data modeling: Develop and maintain transformation models in PostgreSQL and SQLMesh. Gather business logic directly from process owners and represent it accurately in the shared semantic layer.
- BI and reporting: Build, maintain and document dashboards and datasets. Enable stakeholder self-service for recurring questions.
- Metric documentation: Ensure every metric produced has an accurate definition, formula and known caveats recorded.
- Stakeholder collaboration: Partner with Acquisition, Clinical Operations, Revenue Cycle, Product, Supply and Finance to gather requirements, agree scope, and communicate findings to non-technical audiences.
- Data quality: Identify and investigate data quality issues affecting analysis, fixing or escalating them as needed. Validate outputs before publication.
