About Electro Optic Materials

Power in space. Vision tings thinner than human hair. Umicore is a world leader in material solutions for the space, optics and electronics sectors – enabling every day cutting-edge technologies. We guarantee our customers secure access to supply, plus recycling technologies that give materials a new lease of life. To produce materials with even higher performance, and provide recycling to new markets, we cannot stand still.

We need to find new ways to do things, discover new solutions and develop new processes. Which is where you come in.

Your Key Accountabilities

As Supply Chain Planner
, you will become the operational nerve centre of our Germanium value chain. You will own and coordinate the end-to-end Master Production Schedule, balancing customer demand, production capacities, material availability, and logistics constraints. Your decisions will directly impact customer satisfaction, operational performance, and business results. This is not a traditional planning role. You will actively contribute to the further development of our Sales & Operations Execution (S&OE) processes and help build a future-proof planning organization.

  • Drive the weekly alignment between demand, supply, production, and logistics across multiple product lines.
  • Own the Master Production Schedule and ensure an optimal balance between customer service, inventory, and operational efficiency.
  • Facilitate S&OE meetings and ensure effective follow-up on critical actions and business priorities.
  • Identify potential supply chain risks and bottlenecks before they impact operations.
  • Develop meaningful KPI dashboards and provide data-driven insights to support decision-making.
  • Challenge existing ways of working and initiate continuous improvement projects that increase agility and performance.
  • Collaborate closely with Production, Sales, Customer Service, Procurement, Logistics, and Management teams.
Who we are looking for

You combine analytical strength with strong interpersonal skills. You enjoy solving complex operational challenges and are able to bring people together around a common objective.

You also bring:

  • A Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in planning, supply chain, operations, manufacturing, chemicals, or a comparable industrial environment.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and confidence working with data and planning systems.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Fluency in English and Dutch.
  • A proactive, solution-oriented mindset and a genuine passion for continuous improvement.

What we offer

We aim to lead the way. Not just for our customers, but for our employees too. That is why we strive to create a collaborative environment in which we can all succeed, and a culture through which we can all share ideas, develop our expertise and advance our careers. We engage in building an inclusive work culture that offers equal opportunities for all employees irrespective of their diverse backgrounds.

As you would expect from a world-leading organisation, we will also reward your contribution with a competitive salary and benefits. With all this and more, imagine what you could do?
