Operational Support Manager

In this role, you'll lead and coordinate a multidisciplinary support team, driving operations excellence within the production environment. This role ensures effective daily support for production teams while leading continuous improvement initiatives through Lean methodologies.

Overseeing specialists in administration, logistics, Lean production, and planning, you will align your work with business objectives and operational requirements.

Use data insights to identify the short-and-long-term needs of the production department and translate these needs into clear operational requirements. Partnering closely with operations leadership, engineering, and quality departments, you'll prioritize these requirements and ensure objectives are achieved. Acting as a key representative for the production department, you'll also support Finance and Procurement to ensure the interests of the production team are safeguarded.

• Set clear objectives and priorities, ensuring team members understand expectations and deliverables

• Ensure relevant dashboards and metrics are in place to identify trends, monitor KPIs, and detect efficiency opportunities
• Initiate and lead Lean improvement projects (Kaizen), fostering a problem-solving mindset across the entire production team
• Collaborate with operations leadership, process engineering, and quality departments to prioritize objectives and key results and provide necessary support
• Translate operational needs into actionable requirements for the Facility and EHS team when needed

• Represent the production department within the organization, ensuring its needs and priorities are well-defended
• Work closely with operations leadership and financial controllers to define short- and long-term production needs, including investment cases, OPEX / CAPEX budgeting, cost breakdown, and other relevant metrics
• Collaborate with procurement to ensure contractual agreements meet the requirements of the production department, acting as the main representative in this process

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, supply chain management, or a related technical field; master’s degree preferred
• Proven track record (minimum 5 – 7 years) in an operational, production, manufacturing, or supply chain environment, preferably within a complex production setting
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing multidisciplinary teams and driving performance against operational KPIs
• Strong understanding of Lean principles, continuous improvement, and problem-solving methodologies (Lean Green Belt or Black Belt certification desirable)
• Familiarity with CAPEX and OPEX budgeting processes, cost analysis, and investment planning
• Knowledge of procurement processes, contract management, and supplier relationship management
