The Role

The Regulatory Compliance Manager EMEA will serve as the primary technical and regulatory authority for the region, ensuring Victaulic products comply with applicable standards, directives, and certification requirements. This role is responsible for developing and implementing regulatory strategies, providing guidance on complex compliance matters, and leading the regional regulatory team.

Responsibilities
  • Provide technical and regulatory leadership across the EMEA region, advising on product design, specifications, performance, and agency qualification requirements to ensure full compliance.
  • Serve as the lead technical problem solver for EMEAI agencies and local authorities, partnering with Sales and Regulatory teams to resolve complex certification issues and maintain product and facility approvals.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for Technology Managers, Engineers, and Product/Project Managers on technical requirements, test methods, applicable standards, and product marking.
  • Supervise and develop regulatory team members through performance management, mentorship, and professional development.
  • Collaborate with the Director of GRC to develop and implement EMEA regulatory strategies, policies, procedures, and analytics that support compliance excellence and operational efficiency.
  • Review, interpret, and communicate technical specifications, industry standards, and EU Directives, translating regulatory requirements into practical guidance.
  • Drive continuous improvement of regulatory processes and systems, including databases, reporting tools, documentation, and external publications.
  • Develop and maintain regulatory templates supporting local and regional regulations, including Declarations of Conformity and compliance statements.
  • Represent Victaulic on standards committees and technical working groups, contributing to global and regional codes and standards.
  • Ensure compliance with document management policies (EOG-26) related to data security, confidentiality, and record retention.
  • Lead special projects as assigned to advance regulatory objectives and strategic initiatives.
  • Promote cross-functional collaboration to integrate compliance requirements throughout the product lifecycle.
About You
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering preferred)
  • 10-15 years of progressive technical experience in product certification, regulatory compliance, and approval processes within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in a supervisory or leadership capacity with proven ability to direct and develop teams.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of EMEA regulatory frameworks, including EU Directives, CE marking requirements, and regional compliance standards.
  • Strong ability to review, interpret, and apply technical drawings, engineering specifications, and regulatory documentation.
  • Outstanding organizational and priority-setting abilities with a track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and professional presence suitable for representing Victaulic with external agencies, certification bodies, and industry organizations.
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed (up to 25-30%).
  • Proficiency in English required; additional European languages advantageous.
  • Professional certifications in regulatory compliance, quality management, or related fields preferred.
