To strengthen our operational capabilities, we are looking for a driven Planning Lead who will take ownership of our planning process and act as the company-wide Odoo Super User, ensuring optimal use and continuous improvement of our ERP system.
Role SummaryThe Planning Lead will be responsible for managing Xeryon’s entire operational planning cycle — from Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) through detailed production scheduling and execution follow-up.
In addition, approximately 20% of the role will be dedicated to acting as Xeryon’s Odoo Super User and ERP expert, supporting users across departments, optimizing workflows, and translating business needs into effective Odoo configurations.
The ideal candidate is highly proficient in ERP systems and planning modules, capable of making planning the core steering tool for production, purchasing, and logistics, while also ensuring Odoo is used consistently, correctly, and efficiently throughout the organization.
You will act as the primary contact for customers regarding delivery timelines and as an internal reference point for planning- and ERP-related questions.
Key ResponsibilitiesERP System and Planning Management
- Operate and optimize Odoo planning modules; ensure planning parameters, BOMs, routings, lead times, and capacity constraints are accurately maintained.
- Lead the monthly S&OP process, balancing forecasted demand with production capacity and material availability.
Detailed Production Scheduling
- Develop, maintain, and communicate detailed production schedules based on validated capacity and material supply.
Execution Monitoring
- Monitor daily production progress, identify deviations, and escalate operational risks to the relevant teams.
Customer Communication
- Act as the primary customer interface for delivery commitments; manage lead time discussions and proactively communicate changes.
Capacity and Bottleneck Reporting
- Analyze ERP data to detect capacity issues, material shortages, and logistical risks early.
KPI Management and Reporting
- Define, monitor, and report on planning-related KPIs, including:
- Production Schedule Adherence
- On-Time Delivery (OTD)
- Lead Time Compliance
- Material Availability
- Purchase Order Fulfillment
- Logistics Performance
- Use KPI insights to recommend and drive corrective actions.
Team Alignment and Motivation
- Motivate and align production and supply chain teams to respect and execute planning priorities.
Odoo Super User Role
- Act as the company-wide Odoo Super User and functional expert for planning, manufacturing, purchasing, inventory, and logistics modules.
- Serve as the first point of contact for internal users regarding Odoo-related questions, issues, and best practices.
- Liaise with external Odoo expert consultants for exceptional projects
Process Optimization & Configuration
- Translate business needs into Odoo process improvements, configurations, and workflows.
- Proactively identify inefficiencies or misuse of Odoo and drive corrective actions.
User Support & Training
- Support, guide, and train users across departments to ensure consistent and correct use of Odoo.
- Develop simple guidelines, documentation, and best practices where needed.
- Collaborate with management, IT partners, and external Odoo consultants on system enhancements, upgrades, and new module implementations.
- Ensure data quality, system discipline, and alignment between ERP usage and operational reality.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a planning, scheduling, or supply chain coordination role within a manufacturing or assembly environment.
- Strong hands-on experience with Odoo ERP is an asset (manufacturing and planning modules strongly preferred); experience as a key user or super user role is a major plus.
