Location: Town of Belgium

Waste Water Technician (Process Controller Heat Treatment and Surface Treatment)

For our Belgian plant we are looking for a Waste Water Technician
(Process Controller Heat Treatment and Surface Treatment).

The Waste Water Technician will check, maintain and correct the surface treatment processes in Asco Belgium to guarantee these processes are under control such that they can be used to produce parts. This includes the availability of demineralised water in the required conditions for the surface treatments. Assure purification process is under control. Assure free capacity for disposal and/or re-use of processing solutions and guarantee that the surface treatment processes are compliant to the requirements outlined in ASCO's test matrix.

Roles and Responsabilties : 1. Safety (HSE)

Follow, strictly apply and respect all rules regarding safety and local, national HSE regulations in order to maintain a safe working environment for self and all the employees.

  • Respect the HSE procedures and instructions.
  • Act and work safely
  • Make use of the PPE (personal protective equipment) provided by the company.
  • Report all possible risks to hierarchy.
  • Support or create with HSE department safety instructions linked with the water purification systems and surface treatment processes.

Realize all requested analysis and tests on the water purification system to assure business continuity within Production :

  • Visual controls
  • Record parameters (pressure - T - conductivity - alarms ...)
  • Record consumption
  • Calibration and check of conductivity and PH probes
  • Make work request for equipment issues
  • Report issues to Laboratory and M&P departement

Performs all activities to guarantee a continuous process of the purification water equipment and surface treatment activities (non exhaustive list) :

  • Addition of chemical products for all equipments :
    Decantation, Reverse osmose, evaporator...
  • Launch and empty filter-press
  • Cleaning tanks : evaporator or others
  • Backwash Reversed Osmose
  • Chemicals bulk tank filling
  • Operates the WWT equipment : deionising or active carbon columns
  • Can be trained to support Laboratory to analyze surface treatment baths
  • Manage the process control tests as defined in ASCO's test matrix.
  • Contact manufacturers as required

Manage stock of products:

  • Internal orders of chemicals for SU TTS
  • Report and elevate all stock out
  • Follow-up shipments
3. Equipment :

Manage all orders for WWT equipment or consumables together with purchase and/or metrology services.

  • Establish new procedures with M&P
  • Propose continuous improvement ideas on Safety - Quality - Delivery - Cost and People
  • Give proper feedback to help Reliability & improvement (necessary training, recurring problems)
  • Work with suppliers to improve equipements
5.Reporting
  • Establish, communicate and archive reports of all analysis and controls realized in order to comply with internal and external requirements and elevate any deviation.
  • Report all deviations from standard to management and/or QA
6. Train and coach
  • Assure training of the SU TTS regarding the general operation of the purification water equipments.
  • Work continuously to the involvement of the production (operator, Supervisors and team leaders) in the prevention of failure in the waste water treatment activites.
Profile, Know How and Experience

Education: Supply Chain, Industrial or Civil engineer or equal by experience

Languages: French and/or Dutch, English

Skills /

Experience:

  • 5 years of Experience as a Supply Chain Specialist in the industry
  • Thorough knowledge and interest in logistics and lean manufacturing processes and familiar with Project Management Tools
  • Familiar with an ERP system and planning process
  • Analytical skills, facts based approach, great attention to details, good use of Excel
  • Sensitive to commercial aspects
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills; capable to interact with senior management at suppliers and build relationships
  • Good team-player but can work autonomously
  • Flexible thinker
  • Result oriented and takes responsibility
  • Takes initiative and display a pro-active attitude
  • Loves to work in a dynamic environment
  • Open to travel
