Marketing Communications Officer – IC-Link by imec What you will do

In this role, you will help promoteimec’sIC-Link division, which works with companies to develop andmanufacture custom chips.

This role requires someone with a demonstrated interest in technology, who can work across many departments and teams, and would like to learn about semiconductor technology.

IC-Link by imec provides customized solutions for innovative chip manufacturing, leveragingtheexpertiseand ecosystem of imec, a world-leading research and innovation center for nanoelectronics and digital technologies. IC-Link enables the scalable and reliable manufacturing of semiconductors to go from idea to product. Technologies range from ASICs in CMOS, including the most advanced commercially available nodes, to imec-developed integrated photonics, and advanced 2.5/3D packaging.

Additionalspecialty services include custom wafer processing. The offering will continue to expand asnew technologiesarevalidated. Totailor to customer requirements and capabilities, IC-Link offers a range of services and business models.

You will work in the Corporate Marketing and Outreach (CMO) department and specifically on the Marketing Communication Team. You will work closely with IC-Link portfolio’s team, business development, and colleagues across the CMO. You will report to the lead for IC-Link marketing communications and work directly with another colleague dedicated to IC-Link marketing communications.

• Marketing event management: you will be the main point of contact for IC-Link’s offering at specific trade shows, conferences, imec flagship events (e.g. ITFs), other events. You will also coordinate with other marcom team members responsible for other divisions to ensure that IC-Link’s messaging is represented at those events.
  • Specific tasks include, but are not limited to:
  • Owning the events retro planning and tasks
  • Creating POs, managing invoices and managing the overall event budget
  • Managing vendor relationships, including booth builders, conference organizers, etc.
  • Coordinating with internal stakeholders to ensure that milestones are met
  • Managing associated promotional content, including web pages, social posts, save-the-dates, invitations, etc., involving the copywriters, graphic designers, and digital team when needed
  • Debriefing with the imec event attendees to evaluate ROI
  • Occasional travel within Europe and the US, when required
• Ensure marketing content is up-to-date: Due to the nature of semiconductor technology and industry, our marketing materials regularly need to be updated. In this role, you will have to check on the brochures, leaflets, sales decks, and other collateral prior to events or other marcom milestones. You will be the main point of contact for updates and will be supported by the IC-Link portfolio team for the content and a copywriter and graphic designer for the production.
• Supporting the execution of the go-to-market: Depending on the marcom yearly planning, in collaboration with the team you will be given other tasks to support the marcom execution.
• Coordinating activities across teams: This position lies at the intersection of several departments and teams: IC-Link portfolio (including teams that focus on different technologies), business development, engineering, and communications. In this role you will work with team members in the marketing and communications department for the execution.
